About Us

Shin Jiun is an AHPC registered Physiotherapist with more than 10 years of experience. She specializes in sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy since 2010.

Her main interest is in treating shoulder conditions and has been working closely with surgeons to provide the best patient care with shoulder injuries. She was involved in the development of shoulder post-operative rehabilitation clinical guidelines for common shoulder surgeries, namely Bankart repair, SLAP repair and rotator cuff repairs.

Pre- and post-operative rehabilitation for Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury is another area that Shin Jiun is well experienced in. She was closely involved in studies with regards to ACL post-operative outcome measures in order to return to play appropriately. She believes in providing pre-rehabilitative physiotherapy programs in order for patients to have better post-operative outcomes.

Shin Jiun has a passion in teaching. She was involved in coordinating and conducting in-house and public workshops. The workshop topics which include upper quadrant, taping and strengthening and conditioning. She was also the clinical educator/coach for diploma students from Nanyang Polytechnic during placements and residents in the residency program in sports. Currently, she is a Clinical Adjunct Lecturer for the Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy undergraduate programme (Musculoskeletal modules) at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, Singapore Institute of Technology.

Shin Jiun has done some sports coverage, including FAS U15 and U16 and netball. She was part of the Physiotherapy coordinator team in providing Physiotherapy coverage in major sports event like YOG, SEA Games, Para SEA Games and Standard Chartered Marathon.

Beyond clinical work, Shin Jiun is passionate about conducting talks in companies to promote Physiotherapy at workplace. The objectives are to educate the public about Physiotherapy and to encourage healthy physical health at the workplace.
